The Service Berry

I made a short comic interpreting a quote from Robin Wall Kimmerer’s book “The Service Berry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World”

I am thinking about how food is part of our interconnected nature. Where our food comes from, the people’s lives and labour that is part of it, and that it comes from the land is often made invisible in daily life. Kimmerer asks us to imagine a world where we as a collective understand the origins of our sustenance, and how might we act with respect and responsibility.
